Mark Twain (1835-1910), pseudonym of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, was an American humorist, journalist, lecturer, and novelist. Twain is thought of as America’s first celebrity by capturing the public imagination. He is best remembered as the author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Fin. Twain died on April 21, 1910 in Connecticut, USA.
